Lalita Jayagopal – 4th Anniversary
Gosh… she was so beautiful!
Dearest Amma, in my teens, we clashed a lot – like a mother and son should! And I always thought I was “Daddy’s Pet” 🙂
I never got a chance to tell you that it couldn’t have been further from the truth.
I fought with you more, only because I was exactly like you. I have both your good traits – and the not-so-good ones too 🙂 I do so many things subconsciously even today, just like you used to.
It rips me apart every time I remember what a painful last few years you lived through. I’m so, so sorry I couldn’t be there for you as much as I wanted to, and should have been.
It’s been 4 years since you left me. I think of you every day, I cry thinking of how lonely you were towards the end, and pray for your peace every day.
I love you so, so, SO much. Hope you are pain-free and at peace wherever you are.
Say hi to appa for me.
Your loving son,
Ravi “Manu” Jayagopal
